Amy Jackson is a ceramicist and potter based in Stoke-on-Trent, the ‘World Capital of Ceramics’. Jackson specialises in glaze development and the unique application of surface patterns and textures to a variety of handmade forms. Jackson’s collections include both hand-thrown pieces and shapes produced through slip-casting methods. Jackson’s work is influenced by the many mesmerising aspects of the natural world and the great outdoors. She finds beauty and inspiration in all of our everyday and likes to inspire her audience to do the same. Jackson works in an experimental and expressive manner drawing together different methods in order to produce new forms and exciting visuals.
